On a cumulative basis from April 2023 - February 2024, freight loading of 1434.01 MT was achieved by Indian railways against last year’s loading of 1367.5 MT, an improvement of approximately 66.51 MT over last year’s loading for the same period.

The pilot of the scheme was started on 25 March 2022 and as on 1 May 2023, 728 stations have been covered with 785 OSOP outlets in 21 states and three Union Territories across the country.
The freight corridor between Son Nagar in Bihar to Patratu in Jharkhand passes through the Palamu Tiger Reserve. Besides, a new railway track of 11 kilometers is also proposed.
As per estimates of the Central Electricity Authority, the peak electricity demand is expected to be 229GW during the months of April-23, when the electricity demand is highest in the country.

The pace of elimination of Unmanned Level Crossings increased from 1,137 per year during 2009-14 as against the now achieved average of 1,884 per year during 2014-19.
