The BJP-led central government has decided to provide special security cover to four BJP leaders in West Bengal before the Lok Sabha election.
With this, the party has fielded candidates for 20 of the 21 seats in the state. The party is yet to finalise the candidate for the prestigious Balasore seat
Azad said that while he had several reasons for contesting the Lok Sabha elections, safeguarding the jobs and land of the people of Jammu and Kashmir was his top priority.
He said, “Our primary goal should be winning all polling booths and breaking all old records.”
Before filing his nomination, the Congress leader held a massive roadshow in Kalpetta, marking the commencement of his election campaign in Wayanad.
Addressing his first election meeting in Uttarakhand at Rudrapur, Modi said the Emergency-minded Congress no longer has faith in democracy.
Addressing the ‘Prabuddh Varg Sammelan’ in support of Bharatiya Janata Party's Lok Sabha candidate Chhatrapal Singh Gangwar from Bareilly and Dharmendra Kashyap from Amla, the CM said, “There is only one voice resounding across the entire nation - Phir ek bar Modi Sarkar. Behind this unified chant lies Modi ji's decade-long unwavering dedication.
Besides this, the poll panel also appointed Special Expenditure Observers in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Odisha, Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh.
