Rajnath reiterates resolve to reclaim Gilgit-Baltistan

"Our aim is to implement the resolution unanimously passed in Indian Parliament on February 22, 1994 to reclaim remaining parts of Kashmir from the illegal occupation of Pakistan," the defence minister said at the ‘Shaurya Diwas’ celebrations held in Srinagar to commemorate the 75th year of air landed operations of Indian Army at Budgam Airport.

India asks Pakistan to vacate Gilgit-Baltistan

Prime Minister Imran Khan on Sunday announced that his government has decided to grant the "provisional-provincial status" to Gilgit-Baltistan, a part of the erstwhile princely state of Jammu and Kashmir, illegally occupied by Pakistan in 1947.

India has often iterated its stand that the Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, including the areas of Gilgit-Baltistan, are an integral part of this country by virtue of its fully legal and irrevocable accession.
