In the backdrop of Cristiano Ronaldo winning his fifth Best FIFA Men’s Player award on Tuesday, Portuguese footballer’s son Cristiano Ronaldo Jr hogged all the limelight in London.
The 32-year-old has scored 44 goals in just 48 games for Real Madrid and Portugal so far in the calendar year. He also scored a brace in Madrid’s 4-1 Champions League final win over Juventus in Cardiff earlier this year.
Ronaldo outclassed longstanding Barcelona rival Lionel Messi and Paris Saint-Germain’s striker Neymar, who made headlines for emerging the world’s most expensive player recently.
Australia has guaranteed their progression to the third round of Asian Football Confederation (AFC) qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup with a victory against Lebanon on Tuesday.
A viral social media video purports to show Ronaldo holding his ear, reaching forward, and placing his hand in front of his pelvis. It's said that this action was done to provoke Al-Shabab supporters, who shouted rival Lionel Messi's name in the background.
