Former India opener Virender Sehwag, who was highly regarded for his aggressive batting in his playing days and now known for his wit on Twitter, this time trolled the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Committee of Administrators (CoA) following his job application for the post of India’s head coach.

According to reports, the 38-year-old sent his application in just two lines, citing himself as the ‘mentor of the Kings XI Punjab outfit’ and a familiar fellow to the current Indian squad.

Recently, a tussle was reported inside the dressing room, where Indian players led by Virat Kohli revealed discomfort playing under the eyes of coach Anil Kumble.

National cricketers were reported to be treated as junior players by the egotistical Kumble. Since the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, the issue has been fumed with the time.

Amid all this, BCCI recently invited candidates to apply for the much-valued post of head coach as Kumble’s one-year-contract is about to expire.

As Kumble’s replacement looks imminent, sources say Sehwag is the front-runner for the job. Besides Sehwag, other applicants for the job are: Tom Moody, Lalchand Rajput, Doda Ganesh, Richard Pybus and Kumble himself.
