Stoke City manager Mark Hughes wants to build momentum when his side takes on Brighton and Hove Albion in a Premier League match, to be held at Amex Stadium on Tuesday.

“We haven’t maybe hit that run of form that has propelled us up the table yet, but we are in good shape going into the game on Monday,” Hughes said as quoted by the club official website.

Despite being placed 15th in the points table, Hughes believes the last two fixtures of the Potters were impressive.

“We have had good performances in each of our last two fixtures so we want to build upon that and keep the momentum building against Brighton,” he said.

“If we can do what we did against Watford, in our last away game, then that will give us a real opportunity of winning the game,” Hughes added.

Brighton have done comparatively well in the past and are placed ninth in the points table. The 54-year-old football manager from UK knows how difficult would it be for his boys.

“We are under no illusions as to how difficult and challenging it will be for us though, because Brighton have been in impressive form recently.”

“They have a set way of playing, they have players within the group that can hurt any side in the league, so we are going to have to be right at it if we are to get the result we are after,” Hughes asserted.
