Rohit would ‘love’ to play Test series against Pakistan in neutral venue
Bilateral cricket between India and Pakistan has been put on hold since Misbah-ul-Haq’s team last toured India to play a three-match ODI series way back in 2012-13.
Rohit Sharma took a trip down memory lane on Tuesday and recalled his debut T20I match.
Indian vice-captain Rohit Sharma took a trip down memory lane on Tuesday and recalled his debut T20I match in 2007, in which Yuvraj Singh scored six consecutive sixes in an over by England’s Stuart Broad.
“10 years ago what happened today made India proud. His form was one of the reasons for us lifting the #6sixes #WorldCupT20 @YUVSTRONG12,” Rohit tweeted, hailing the middle-order batsman who smashed a swift 58-run knock.

Yuvraj’s 16-ball knock was decorated by seven sixes and three boundaries.
Rohit couldn’t get to bat in that match but he must have got goosebumps while watching the heroics of Yuvraj at Durban.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) reminded him of that match, saying: “#ThisDayThatYear in 2007, @ImRo45 made his T20I debut for #TeamIndia.”

“On This Day in 2007 – @YUVSTRONG12 smashed Six 6s in an over #Yuvraj #Legend,” the BCCI had tweeted earlier in the day.

India, later, went on to win the 2007 World T20, defeating Pakistan in the nail-biting final match.
Robin Uthappa, who was also a part of the World T20 winning squad, also accredited Yuvraj for Indian team’s success.
“You @YUVSTRONG12 are one of the main reasons we won two World Cups in five years. Blessed to have witnessed this from so close. #10YearsOfYuvis6Sixes,” Uthappa said.
