Arsene Wenger on Tuesday refused to confirm or deny reports linking Monaco hot-shot Kylian Mbappe potentially moving to the Gunners, declaring that all clubs are open and interested in the teen sensation.

In Sydney, where the Gunners are on their pre-season tour, Wenger said of Mbappe, “He’s a player who, when he gets up in the morning, can choose where he wants to go. There are not many players with that kind of luck, because he’s only 18 years of age and has the whole of Europe rolling out a red carpet for him”.

When asked specifically if the Gunners were pursuing Mbappe, the 67-year-old tactician was coy as he added, “Nobody can say they are not interested in a player of that calibre, because he has such immense quality at 18 years of age. All the clubs are open and interested in him”.

Mbappe’s Monaco teammate, Thomas Lemar, has also been linked with a move to the North Londoners but Wenger dismissed reports linking the winger as pure speculation.

“That’s all speculation at the moment, there is nothing really concrete about any signing,” Wenger stressed on the topic of Lemar.
