Even though he failed to capitalise on the chances he got while batting, Indian fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar made best out of his skills with the ball at Eden Gardens.

Australia were 9/2 in first 4.5 overs, thanks to Bhuvneshwar, who took the scalp of both the Australian openers Hilton Cartwright (1) and David Warner (1).

His heroics gave Indians a hope despite having a small total to defend.

Riding on Virat Kohli’s 92 and Ajinkya Rahane’s 55-run knock, India reached a total of 252 runs while batting first in the second ODI in Kolkata.

Watching the dominating start by Indian pacers Bhuvneshwar and Jasprit Bumrah, former India batsman VVS Laxman also showed faith in them.

“Good start by Bhuvi and Bumrah. The only way India can win this game is if they keep picking wickets, which the bowlers are more than capable of,” Laxman said on Twitter.
