Budget smartphone consumers are spoilt for choice as manufacturers led by Chinese tech companies are flooding the market with affordable yet powerful phones with the latest features.

On Wednesday, tech giants LG, Lenovo and Gionee launched three new smart phones each, all below Rs.15,000. Here's a brief summary of the phones:

LG Q6: LG Electronics has introduced its 'Q' series of phones for the first time in India. The phone comes with 5.5-inch FHD display. It sports a wide, 100-degree selfie camera and 13 MP rear camera. Priced at Rs.14,990, the device will be available online soon.

Lenovo K8 Note: The Chinese tech-giant's latest phone comes in black and gold with a dual-camera setup of 13MP+5MP sensor with flash. With stock Android, this 3GB RAM and 32GB storage version is powered by a 10 core 2.3 Ghz Helio SoC processor. The phone is priced at Rs.12,999 and will be available online from August 18.

Gionee A1 Lite: This too comes in gold and black and offers "split-screen experience for multi-taskers". A 20MP 'selfie' camera, lightning-fast fingerprint sensor and a powerful 4000mAh battery powers the 5.3-inch device which is priced at Rs.14,999. It will be available across retail stores from August 10.
