The fourth Northeast Youth Festival will be held at Majuli, Assam, from May 29 to 31 May, 2015. The festival is organized by the Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS).

Around 2,100 youth from the eight Northeast states, NYKS volunteers, delegates from other states are expected to take part in the three-day festival. 

The festival will be inaugurated by Union Chemicals and Fertilisers Minister Ananth Kumar on May 29, 2015.  Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Culture, Tourism and MoS for Civil Aviation, Mahesh Sharma, Minister for Transport, Excise, Sports and Youth Affairs, Assam, Ajit Singh, along with prominent parliamentarian members from Assam will grace the inaugural function as guests of honour. 

The Assam Governor will be the chief guest at the closing ceremony of the festival on May 31, 2015. Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) AYUSH, Shripad Naik, Union Minister of State, Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju, along with prominent MPs will grace the closing ceremony.

The main features of the festival are: Competition events such as folk dances, folk songs, one act play, instrumental guitar and rock band competition. Other events such as cultural, musical, martial arts show, food festival, Yuva Kriti and seminars on youth related issues are the other highlights of the festival.
