Several organisations in Arunachal Pradesh on Saturday condemned torching of two vehicles at Behali in Assam’s Sonitpur district.

A mob set ablaze two vehicles from Arunachal Pradesh and attacked commuters at Behali yesterday where two sutained burn injuries. They were later shifted to the RK Mission hospital here.

The Arunachal Pradesh Literary Society (APLS) condemned the Behali incident in which a vehicle carrying innocent Arunachalees including a minor student was put on fire.

The Nyishi Elite Society (NES) while condemning the incident appealed the Ahom Sahitya Sabha and other Assam-based organisations to rise to the occasion in ensuring peace.

The East Kameng Socio Welfare and Cultural Organisation (EKSWCO) Chairman Khya Safar Pao in a release said that both the state government should immediately take action so that in future any major issues might not take place.
