Take extra good care of your hair and skin during monsoon.
Take care. The mercury is falling following pre-monsoon rain, but the wind is strong and humidity levels are rising. Windy weather and humidity add to summer woes
The weatherman has forecast early monsoon in many places. The Regional Met Office says monsoon has arrived in Chhattisgarh and is heading towards Uttar Pradesh from Jharkhand, Odisha and Bihar. It also says that monsoon would hit UP by 25 June. But the weather would continue to be warm and humid, it says.
High and dry humid air can cause skin and health problems. The windswept weather that often accompanies the rain can dry up your skin and damage your hair.

Windswept hair in pictures lends a sultry look. But hair in the wind can get all entangled and difficult to comb. It causes breakages and makes the hair frizzy. So while you are out carry a good moisturiser and a scarf along. Cover your head with a scarf. Don't let your hair fly. Protect it from the harsh wind and grime in the air.
Also apply moisturiser on your face and hands as often as you can when you are out. The dry air and the gutsy wind can cause excessive dryness of the skin.
Humidity can also cause greasiness of the scalp and skin, making ti easier for dirt accumulation on it. This can lead to irritation of the skin, or pimples and acne on face and other parts of the body. So, wash your hair, face and body well when you get back home from a day out. It will save you from all kinds of infections too. Moisturise your hair and skin well. Drink plenty of water and keep yourself well hydrated even when the clouds are looming and the weather is cooler.
