KATIHAR, 20 JUNE: A case was filed in a Katihar court today against Bihar chief minister and senior JD(U) leader Nitish Kumar and JD(U) national president Sharad Yadav, charging them with betraying the mandate of the people by splitting from the NDA.
Social activist Arun Tiger filed the case in the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) court against the JD-U leaders under Sections 120(B) (criminal conspiracy), 420 (cheating) and 406 (criminal breach of trust) of the IPC. The case will be heard tomorrow, the CJM Mr PK Dixit said.
Meanwhile, the CPI(M) said the JD(U)’s decision was fuelled by its “irresolvable contradictions” with the BJP.
