Islamabad, 4 September: India has handed over to Pakistan recordings of two important speeches by Muhammad Ali Jinnah, a step that was welcomed with much joy. One was recorded by All India Radio in New Delhi on 3 June 1947 in which he gives his reaction to holding a referendum in the NWFP on the region joining Pakistan or India. and the other is a 14 August address where he talks about the “welfare and well-being of all the communities” in Pakistan. “We are thankful to All India Radio,” Javed Khan Jadoon, Head Current Affairs, Pakistan Radio said.    PTI
