President Ram Nath Kovind and his family offered prayers at Kedarnath and Badrinath shrines in Uttarakhand on Sunday. The President stayed in the Kedarnath shrine for about 50 minutes.
Kovind praised the reconstruction work being done in the disaster-hit Mandakini valley.
Priest Bhagat Prasad Bhagwadi performed puja for the Kovind family. After performing the ritual, the President interacted with local people on the temple premises. Later the family flew to Badrinath and then went to Dehradun to take a flight back to Delhi in the evening.
