A 12-member Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) forensic team reached Ryan International School on Saturday to investigate seven-year-old Pradyuman murder case, a day after the agency took over the probe.

According to media reports, the lawyer of victim’s family had threatened to move the Supreme Court if CBI didn’t start the probe within a day or two.

CBI on Friday registered a case under sections of murder, arms act, Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and Juvenile Justice Act.

The investigation was being handled by the Gurgaon Police before the CBI took over.

The Class 2 student, Pradyuman, was found with his throat slit near the school bathroom, moments after being dropped at the school by his father.

Gurgaon police had arrested the one of the school bus conductor, Ashok Kumar, in connection with the murder case. Police have also arrested two officials of the school and are seeking to question the trustees of Ryan Trust, which manages the school.

Police said Kumar killed the boy after a failed attempt of sexual assault on the minor.

Kumar was allegedly forced to confess the crime, said media reports.
