Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday visited his constituency Varanasi, and said that he was looking forward to being with his people.

"Now enroute Kashi. Eagerly looking forward to being with the people of Varanasi,” Modi tweeted. He visited Kolkata on Sunday before heading to the ancient town.

He also paid homage to poet-saint Guru Ravidas on his birth anniversary. “I bow to Guru Ravidas ji on his Jayanti.  His thoughts & emphasis on social reform & equality transformed our society & enriched it greatly,” he tweeted.

Varanasi is the same constituency from which Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had also fought for the seat of prime minister in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, before losing out to Modi.
