Kottayam, 4 August: Kerala Home Minister Thiruvanchur Radhakrishnan today refuted reports in a section of the press that state police had been tapping the telephones of leading politicians and public figures, including Chief Minister Oommen Chandy.
Dubbing the report as “utterly baseless”, he said this could be seen only as a “third rate blackmailing” to create a wedge between him and Mr Chandy.
“We have known each other since our school days. Reports seeking to create an impresssion to the contrary can be seen only as third rate tricks by vested interests,” he told reporters here.     pti
