Taking suo motu cognizance of a case of 11 patients, including two children, dying at Maharaja Yashwantrao (MY) Hospital in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, allegedly due to lack of oxygen supply for around 15 minutes between 3 am and 4 am on 21 June.

The National Human Rights Commission has issued a notice to the MP chief secretary seeking a report on the incident that, it says, indicates gross negligence by the hospital authorities amounting to violation of Right to Life of the patients, who were in the medical care of a government-run hospital.
