Union Minister Manoj Sinha on Monday underlined the importance of inculcating culture and values in students along with formal education, saying the combination of the two was necessary.

"In this era of competition, modifications in education were needed so that students can make place for themselves in this competitive world," the Minister of State for Railways said at a function organised by a university in Chittorgarh.

Stating that cultural values should be inculcated in students from the beginning, Sinha encouraged the students to become entrepreneurs so that they can generate employment opportunities for others.

Chittorgarh MP C P Joshi was also present at the function, a release said.
