Some studies seem to indicate that this supplement could be beneficial for those suffering from Alzheimer’s disease. It has been found to promote better brain health and impact the brain chemistry in a positive manner.

A study performed in 2012 revealed that chlorogenic acid acts as a powerful anti-arthritic agent when given to male rats. It may help prevent rheumatoid arthritis in those who are predisposed to develop the condition and also prevent flares in those who are already suffering with the problem.

Rich in free radical-combating antioxidants, green coffee beans may inhibit the proliferation of cancer cells. It promotes greater detoxification due to the presence of glutathione s transferase. It cleanses harmful elements in the body.

According to the studies, green coffee extract have higher oxygen radical absorbance capacity. The oxidative stress may arise from aging, dietary deficiency and exposure to chemicals etc.

However, green coffee beans contain caffeine that can have numerous side effects if consumed in large quantities. You may suffer from anxiety, nervousness, rapid heartbeat, etc. It is not safe to be consumed by pregnant women, breast feeding mothers or children. The dosage for green coffee bean extract can vary from 120 to 3000 mg per day depending upon the concentration of chlorogenic acid in your supplement. Although there is no optimal dosage specified currently, you may follow the dosage instructions given on the label. Experts recommend one serving, 30 minutes before each meal.
