Come, experience the warmth that Voices as a family is and feel the incredible magic of Vibes 2017!

Gearing up

Exhilaration took the better of me just a week before it. Fights at school were easily forgotten. The homework were never left undone. I forgot everything people told me and sat counting days. Vibes is one day away.

It had embedded a seed of growing euphoria within me from the first day I joined the Voices family. And now the enthusiasm is bubbling inside me, all ready to burst out. All I think about day and night are the dates, 4 and 5 November. It is like I had been waiting all this time for this, the gala event, this shower of happiness and ecstasy.

It brings all the coordinators closer. Having the opportunity to organise and run such a huge thing smoothly, imbeds in us a deep sense of responsibility and authority. Started more than 20 years ago, it was the first school fest and the most captivating one till date. Vibes provides an opportunity to showcase your talents on the world’s biggest stage.

Providing a wide range of events from the usual music-dance-drama to one minute to fame and debate, it really gives everyone a choice! Also the live band performance each year emphasises on why attending Vibes should be on your bucket list. From the very first task of circulating the invitation letters in schools to giving passes to friends, I loved it all. And then just before the final days there’s always this calling each other, clarifying last minute doubts, writing down speeches and finalising the duty allocations.

I feel it’s like prelims to the semester finals. This year some of the coordinators came up with an innovative idea to propagate this festival. They made some really well designed posters and released them on social media. They were so attractive and they sure are working out well.

All the hard work put in bears a beautiful fruit. Each year this grand school fest is a huge success and brings immense satisfaction to one and all!

Feeling the Vibes

The year has rung its final toll, bringing in a gust of wind with the footsteps of the most awaited gala season of our Voices, The Vibes!! Once more, Vibes is in with its plethora of colours, showcase of brilliance and beauty, magnanimity and magniloquence. Friends, can you feel the vibes, the ever-enthralling aura of the festivity wafting in the air?

Starting from the awe-inspiring dance performances at Rhythm and Hues, the wondrous display of talents at One Minute to Fame, to the panorama of fascinating musical shows, the innovative band performances to tap your feet with their tunes, Vibes poses the perfect space for budding artists to pursue perfection. Besides, of course, there are the offstage events as well, throwing out sparks of creativity, giving life to innovative and intellectual thoughts through Debate, Quiz, Face Painting, T-shirt painting and the rest.

Vibes is the place where you step out of the known barriers and explore a new world beyond the mundane routine of daily life. It is a place where you learn to take responsibilities, be loyal to your duties; the place where you appreciate excellence, make new friends and rise above all differences. It teaches you the art of accepting triumph and failure as part and parcel of life, to accept and ignite yourself with the song of unity, harmony and togetherness in its magnanimity and magniloquence. Being a part of the Voices family and sharing this bond of warmth and friendship for about five years, Vibes still returns to me as tinges of fond memories of my lost school-life, of the innocence and frivolity that defined those years.

Vibes, every year bring a new blend to the riot of colours that paint our hearts, and each time, we join Vibes, we return with unparalleled wealth to cherish throughout our lives! This makes Vibes stand out with its uniqueness, attaining a special place in our hearts. So, meeting all of you at Vibes, right?

The old participants – of course you will be there with your blossoming talents and the new ones, do come, to look beyond the horizon and capture hearts!!

Filled with ecstasy

The two-day inter-school festival Vibes promises to sweep you off your feet into varied forms of cultural manifestation through competitions dance, drama, music and encourages everyone to participate in more than one kind of event. One can choose to participate or sit back in the audience and let Parnab Mukherjee, the quizmaster, put your general knowledge to test.

Or, if you want to make yourself heard loud and clear, they are welcome to participate in the debate and therefore make sure that your opinions are notified and marked upon. Wish to walk down the ramp too? We are conducting a fashion show with theme walks so do not forget to look close into your wardrobe and bring out the best of clothes for the occasion. Buckle your seat belts and get on your marks for the biggest extravaganza of the year for school students is round the corner. Vibes is that fresh breath of air we all need, in our monotonous gruel.

It’s the free ticket to two days of ecstasy and we, as coordinators, are here to make sure that you walk out of Nazrul Manch with a heart too full of memories of good times and a head too full of words. We promise – this is going to be a memory you are going to cherish for a long time – and we are going to do all we can to live up to your expectations.

The rain has been playing a spoilt sport for quite a few years now – messing up our schedules and delaying things to unmanageable degrees but despite that and all other little speed breaks that tend to slow us down, we are not going to let the show lose any bit of its shimmer. The show will go on, like always, and will only be better and brighter as years pass. This is my fourth year as a member of the Voices family and it is indeed a place, which had a great impact on me and supported me through thick and thin. We are all going to be on our feet, ready to give this event the maximum to make it a huge success.

Therefore, we extend our heartfelt invitation to one and all for the biggest ever inter school festival. Come, experience the warmth that Voices, as a family, is. Come, be a part of something extraordinary. Come, relive magic at Vibes.
