Rainy days are here. Prepare your wardrobe for it. There are many things to bear in mind while dressing up on a rainy day.
Don’t worry. Help is at hand. Look chic and trendy this monsoon with this fashion guide.
If it’s raining too hard, pick a short dress (a midi-dress or a skirt-top) and pair it with high rain boots. A classic trench coat can be worn over a dress or a pair of jeans. You may go safe and pretty with all whites or pastels under a trench coat.
A pair of black tights under your short dress or skirt can give a formal look. Pair it with chunky heels that are rain and office-friendly booties. Layering a pretty summer dress under a neutral-coloured anorak may also add dimension to your outfit and will keep you dry. Don’t forget black dresses layered under short jackets and worn unzipped. It is an ultimate rainy day get-up. You may also look ultra-trendy in cute pinks under classic denim jackets.
To avoid having soaked pants all day, try for some cropped casual jeans or pants. Add some colour and style with a bright scarf. Top them with linen t-shirts and light-weight rain jackets. They look simple but fashionable. Poncho style adorable jackets are also available in the season to give you a superb look with a skinny jeans. Pair it up with cute rain boots to look your sweetest.
Short dresses and moisture resistant workout shorts with cotton crop tops look cool when you are chilling out. They are great for hot rainy days when you don’t want to dress up.
Try not to wear anything that goes below the ankles. Stick to cotton and linen fabric. They keep you cool. Though linen dries up fast, cotton doesn’t. Remember to add bright colours to elevate your mood.
Instead of having sweaty feet, go trendy with jelly sandals, ankle rain boots, and faux leather shoes. All look amazing on a monsoon day. Short duck boots under denims look cool but they are not appropriate for office gazes. Suede shoes are a big NO as they are not made of protectant treated leather. No point in wasting money as they may get completely ruined by water. You may choose light-weight sneakers in subtle colours. They allow your feet to breathe and keep them dry.
