Superstar Aamir Khan, who will next be seen as an arrogant musician in Secret Superstar was in the capital recently for the promotion of his upcoming movie. At a press conference held on Wednesday (October 11), the actor revealed that it has been quite some time, since he charged fee for his movies.

The actor is a firm believer of his gut feeling and doesn’t really bother about the returns his movies get.

Also known as Mr. Perfectionist who likes to get everything on point, Aamir is not only an actor but has also excelled as a filmmaker. According to him, it is very important for everyone to be paid equally.

Aamir Khan said, “I don’t take a salary; it’s been quite a while since I charged a fee for any film. I pick a certain portion of the profits. So unfortunately I get my salary in the last because my salary only depends on the profits that the film is making. So that’s why I don’t do films based on what I will get in return. I just believe in my gut feeling.”

“Also talking about the pay scale of the people working on the film should be equal in my opinion, why should a technician be paid less than an actor if the work he is doing is more important than the actor. I feel the person who can get to fill seats in the theaters should be paid accordingly, be it the actor, director, musician or the technician crew,” he added.

Talking about his big Bollywood clash with Golmaal 4, Aamir said he is not at all nervous. He wishes the best for his competitor to make it big at the box office.

“I’m not nervous at all despite the two releases on Diwali. If my film is worth watching then people will watch it for sure and same goes for Golmaal Again. The film has a good set of actors with Rohit Shetty as the director and I wish that both the films perform well at the box office.”

Secret Superstar marks the second outing of actors Aamir Khan and Zaira Wasim after the sports drama Dangal. The film is directed by Advait Chauhan and will release on October 20.
