Ghaziabad, 5 Oct:A city court today rejected a petition of Rajesh and Nupur Talwar, accused of killing her teenaged daughter Aarushi Talwar and domestic help Hemraj, in which they had sought questioning of 13 more people.
All the 13 were earlier made prosecution witnesses by the CBI, which is investigating the case, but were never produced in court for their statements.
In their petition, filed before the court of Additional Sessions Judge Shyam Lal on 30 September, the accused had alleged that the prosecution had deliberately dropped some witnesses whose statements and potential testimonies were in favour of the case of the accused. The court also rejected another petition of Talwars, seeking a direction to the agency to place on record the disclosure statement made by their compounder, Krishna, and domestic helps, Vijay Mandal and Rajkumar.  The court has fixed 7 October for the start of final arguments in case.
