Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain was on Tuesday summoned by the Income Tax department over allegations of a hawala transaction of nearly Rs 17 crore, officials said.
The IT department has alleged that four companies owned by Jain illegally transferred the money and have asked the minister to appear before it on October 4.
A total of three cases are being probed against the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader by tax officials against Jain.
However, Jain downplayed the notice and said that he was summoned as a witness and that it was not an investigation but a reassesssment.
Jain is the fourth minister of the Kejriwal government who has been accused of wrongdoings.
