Delhi experienced a pleasant morning today with the minimum temperature settling at 24 degrees Celsius, four notches below the season’s average.

Humidity was recorded at 71 per cent, a MeT official said.

The MeT office has predicted overcast conditions along with the possibility of one or two spells of light rain and thundershower in some parts of the city.

"The sky will be partly cloudy with possibilities of light rain and thundershowers in some parts of the city," the official said.

The maximum temperature is expected to be 35 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature will remain close to 25 degrees Celsius.

On Thursday, Delhiites were greeted by the season’s first monsoon showers which brought down the temperature to 22.4 degrees Celsius, six notches below the season’s average while the maximum temperature settled seven notches below the season’s average at 30.8 degrees Celsius.

MeT department on Thursday said that south west monsoon has reached Delhi after making rapid progress over the last few days, well ahead of its normal onset.
