Unruly scenes unfolded at Azadpur area on Thursday following a bombscare. Residents and shopkeepers were seen rushing out of their places after an unidentified person raised an alarm.
However, no bomb was detected. According to reports, around 11 am an unidentified person spread the rumour that a bomb has been planted at Azadpur sabzi mandi. It panicked everyone and people began to run away from the market place.
Delhi is on high alert following the Pathankot terror attack, with reports that two terrorists have sneaked in the Capital.
On Wednesday, a bomb alert was sounded at the Indira Gandhi International Airport.
On Tuesday, the police control room received a call about a bomb at Parliament House, which later turned out to be a hoax and the suspect caller was nabbed.
The New Delhi railway station also witnessed a bomb scare on January 3 after information was received about a bomb being planted on a Kanpur-bound train.
