SJVN signs MoU with government to boost energy generation

To boost energy generation, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between PK Pujari, Secretary (Power) Government of India and RN Misra, Chairman-cum-Managing Director SJVN Limited at New Delhi.

An official spokesperson said on Friday that during the financial year 2017-18 SJVN Limited plans energy generation of 8,950 mn units (under Excellent parameters) with an expected sales turnover of Rs 2,120 Crore from its 1500 MW Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station, 412 MW Rampur Hydro Power Station in Himachal Pradesh, 47.6 MW Khirvire Wind Power Project in Maharashtra and 5 MW Solar Power Project in Gujarat.

He informed that against the target of generating 8,700 mn units (under Excellent parameters) for FY 2016-17 the power Stations of SJVN have generated around 9,045 mn units.
