Condemning the murder of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) member Ravinder Gosain in Ludhiana, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Tuesday said the law and order situation has worsened with the change of guard in state.

In a Press statement, AAP state co-president, Aman Arora said Amarinder Singh-led Congress government has failed to protect the residents of state and it’s not for the first time that a politically affiliated person has been killed in broad day light and incidents of this kind are happening repeatedly.

The state police have failed drastically to get a clue of murderers in previous cases, he said adding that the Chief minister (CM), who holds the portfolio of home minister, is directly responsible for such kinds of happenings in the state.

Arora all the illegal activities initiated by Shiromani Akali Dal leaders during previous government have been carried forward by the Congress leaders now.

“Cabinet Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu had publically demanded from Amarinder Singh to hand over the home ministry to implement the law of land properly. It shows that the minister himself confirms the depleting law and order situation in state.” he said.

Arora suggested Amarinder to hand over home department to some other minister who is capable and be present in the state as the CM hardly visits the state. He said that the killers of priest Sultan Masih, Mata Chand Kaur of Namdhari sect and Jalandhar based RSS activist Jagdish Gagneja are still out of police net.

The AAP leader demanded that the CBI must investigate the case as it is feared that all these incidents are attempts to derail the religious harmony of the state.
