Madhya Pradesh: Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain washed after lunar eclipse
Mahakaleshwar Temple in Madhya Pradesh's Ujjain was washed with the water of holy rivers after the lunar eclipse.
A mattress is talk of Haridwar these days. According to information, a man donated an old mattress to a beggar. When the man reached home after doing the charity, his father told him that he had hidden Rs. 40 lakh and about 24 grams of gold inside the mattress!
Realising the folly, father-son rushed to the Daridrabhanjan temple in Kankhal on Sunday and managed to trace the beggar but the poor chap told them that since he had no place to dwell, he presented the mattress to another beggar.
The issue came to light after the beggar informed a priest of the Daridrabhanjan temple about the incident. According to reports, the father-son is vehemently trying to trace the the mattress by enquiring from beggars. Many beggars confirmed to The Statesman that tow men had been asking them about a mattress.
But so far, no police case has been filed. The incident has given people a chance to crack jokes on whatsApp and other social media platforms.
Kankhal Police station’s in-charge Anuj Singh said, “We have not received any complaint in this regard.”
The Rs. 40-lakh mattress has become the most discussed topic in the town. Many jokes are in circulation on the social media about the mattress, including, “Haridwar main tho mattress chal raha hai”.
