“BJP making attempts to keep me out of Parliament”: Mehbooba Mufti
She said the PDP became the “biggest target” after the abrogation of Article 370 in 2019 and its leaders were either “lured or blackmailed” to break away from it
Jammu and Kashmir (J-K) Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti was re-elected for the sixth consecutive term as the President of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Saturday.
A party spokesman said Mehbooba’s re-election was unanimous. She was re-elected following a meeting, in Jammu, of the PDP political affairs committee (PAC).
The party was founded by late Mufti Muhammad Sayeed after parting ways with Congress in 1999.
