With a view to woo government employees who form a sizeable number of electorate in Himachal Pradesh, former chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal on Sunday announced provide benefits of 4-9-14 to end salary disparities.
He also announced to regularize the services of contractual upon completing two years service.
Dhumal accused Congress government of cheating government employees who were provided these benefits during previous BJP regime and said the benefits would be provided immediately after coming to power.

He also assured pensioners that their interests will also be protected by the government.
He said Congress party in its 2012 election manifesto had announced to provide the 4-9-14 scheme benefits to employees from 2006. But they were cheated by the government as in 2013, the government issued notification that employees can avail the benefits once in their service period.
“Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh government has also announced to provide benefits to pensioners in 2012 assembly polls but later retracted from it,” he said.
“The BJP government has always worked for the welfare of government employees and would continue to do so in the future too,” he said.
