City sizzles as Met dept extends heatwave alert
After sizzling at the highest day temperatures today, citizens of south Bengal, including Kolkata could face harsher days with the probability of temperature going up in the next few days.
Tightening its noose around "fake doctors", the CID has nabbed yet another physician who passed himself off as an allergy and asthma specialist in one of Kolkata's top private clinics, officials said on Saturday.
"One fake doctor namely Naren Pandey (Narendra Pandey) attached with Bellevue Clinic Kolkata and Medland Diagnostic Institute, Entally Kolkata, was arrested on May 26 from his Entally chamber and diagnostic centre," a Criminal Investigation Department official said.
He will be produced at Bidhannagar court later on Saturday.

In his Facebook profile, Pandey claims he studied at Xinjiang Medical University.
Belle Vue Clinic authorities said they were probing the allegations.
So far, four persons, including Pandey, have been arrested in West Bengal in a month as purported "fake doctors".
