Five suspected criminals were arrested following an encounter with police near Dwarka Mor Metro station in southwest Delhi on Tuesday, a spokesperson said.
The gang members opened fire when a joint team of Delhi Police and Punjab Police intercepted the gang near the Metro station.
“Several rounds were fired, but no one was injured. Five people have been arrested,” said the Delhi Police spokesperson.

“A huge cache of arms and ammunition has been recovered, including 11 illegal arms, one pistol and more than 100 cartridges,” said Shibesh Singh, DCP, South West District.
The raid was conducted at Gudia Properties, Shanti Park in Dwarka Mor to arrest the wanted criminal from Punjab, he said.
