KOLKATA, 19 JUNE: Tata Motors today unveiled eight improved versions of its vehicles, across five key brands. These include new enhanced versions of Tata Indigo eCS, Tata Sumo Gold, Tata Nano and Tata Indica, with the additions of new colours and graphic designs, enhanced exteriors, improved suspension to offer a better ride, multimedia entertainment options and introduction of the feather-shift gearbox.
Seen as a move to improve its sales the company today also showcased its new CNG range ~ Tata Indica CNG, Tata Indigo CNG and Tata Nano CNG ~ and the Explorer Edition of the Tata Safari Storme.
Select variants will be phased in the next 90 days.
Mr Ranjit Yadav, president, passenger vehicle business units, Tata Motors, said in a statement: "Even as we unveil our business strategy focused on customer needs and wants, we today showcased eight new exciting products, across five brands, which is an industry first. These products clearly indicate the significant improvement we are bringing in our product quality."
The new Tata Nano is even more exciting with the introduction of an array of new features, including remote keyless entry, twin gloveboxes, and a four-speaker AmphiStream music system with Bluetooth USB and Aux-in connectivity.
Tata Motors will invest Rs 1,600 crore on its car division this fiscal.
