The Punjab government on Wednesday made it clear that nearly 4,000 jobs will be created under Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) and Punjab State Transmission Corporation Limited (PSTCL) soon.
The state Power and Irrigation minister made this disclosure on the occasion of distributing appointment letters to the 25 dependents of the deceased employees of PSPCL and PSTCL on the compassionate grounds out of total 223 beneficiaries.
Disclosing futuristic employment plans, the minister said PSPCL and PSTCL will be recruiting 2800 Assistant Lineman, 300 Lower Division Clerk, 253 Sub Station Attendants and 300 Junior Engineers shortly. He further said that in the Irrigation Department 254 Junior Engineers have been recruited recently.

“Keeping with the promise made in the election manifesto of providing one job per family, the Congress government has gone full throttle to ensure successful implementation of the same. After taking over the reins by the new state government, PSPCL and PSTCL has given employment to the 384 dependents of the deceased employees,” said the minister.
He said that the Ghar Ghar Rozgar scheme is being implemented with unprecedented success throughout the state.
