KOLKATA, 6 JUNE: BlackBerry today launched the much awaited BlackBerry Q10 smartphone featuring a classic QWERTY keyboard. The new smartphone is expected to be available starting tomorrow from authorised dealers and retailers in 20 cities across 1,000 stores, at a price of Rs 44,990 targetting high-end customers.
Available in two colours, black and white, the BlackBerry Q10 smartphone combines the power of the BlackBerry 10 platform with a large, re-engineered physical keyboard and new touchscreen display ~ the largest ever on a BlackBerry QWERTY smartphone.
Commenting on the launch, Mr Sunil Lalvani, managing director for India at BlackBerry, said in a statement: “We are thrilled to launch the first QWERTY BlackBerry 10 smartphone with our carrier and retail partners across India. The smartphone gives customers the assurance of typing on a classic keyboard, which combines with BlackBerry 10 to offer them a powerful and unique mobile computing experience.”
