UPSC 2017 admit card: Steps to download e-admit card on upsc.gov.in, upsconline.nic.in

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), which released the e-admit cards for the UPSC Preliminary exam on 22 May, has asked candidates to download the e-admit card “well in advance” to avoid any last minute rush.

The UPSC only issues online admit cards, which candidates can download from upsc.gov.in and upsconline.nic.in . The UPSC Preliminary exam is scheduled to be conducted on 18 June.

  1. Log onto www.upsc.gov.in.
  2. Click on the ‘Admit Cards’ tab. It will take candidates to a window which includes admit cards of all examinations under UPSC.
  3. Click on the link – ‘E-Admit Cards for various Examinations of UPSC’. The page will be directed to Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2017.
  4. Select ‘Click here’ to go to the homepage of UPSC e-admit card from where candidates are directed to the instructions page.
  5. Candidates have to read and take a printout of the ‘Important Instructions’ before continuing with the rest of the steps.
  6. There are two ways of downloading UPSC e- admit card – By Registration Id and By Roll Number.
  7. To download their UPSC e-admit cards through Registration Id, candidates have to enter their Registration ID, which they received at the time of registration along with their Date of Birth. Candidates also have to enter a Captcha Code and click on submit, which will finally generate their UPSC admit cards.
  8. To download UPSC admit cards through Roll Numbers, candidates have to enter their Roll Number, Date of Birth and enter the Captcha Code.
  9. Candidates would be able to download their e-admit cards once it is generated.
  10. Candidates do not have to generate their UPSC admit cards in both the Registration ID and Roll Number methods.

Students can also visit upsconline.nic.in and start from step number 4, i.e from the UPSC e-admit card homepage.

According to reports, over 4.59 lakh students had taken UPSC last year, of which 1099 were successful.
