A ten day long Shimla Book Festival will be organised from June 23 at the Gaiety Theatre in Shimla by OJAD Centre for Art and Readership Development (OCARD).
Organiser of the book festival, Rakesh Gupta talking to the mediapersons here on Thursday said the Book Festival in will be organised in collaboration with Himachal Pradesh non-government organisation Himachal Pradesh Sahitya Evam Paryaran Manch.
The festival will be inaugurated by Ministry of Industry and Public Relation Mukesh Agnihotri .

He said that the festival will witness 30 publishers from pan-India, including Vani, Raj Kamal and Sons, Sasta Sahitiya Mandal, Bhartiya Kala Prakashan, Parimal Prakashan, Mahaveer Book Company, India Today, Genius Hive Publication, Subhash Book Company along with distributor of reputed publishing house and Shimla Advanced Study.
A free-of-cost stall will also be set up for local Himachal Pradesh writers and poets to showcase their books and facilitate the sale to the visiting public, he added.
“During the festival different literary programmes will also be organized and also for the first time the OCARD Sahitya Srijan Award will also be announced,” said Rakesh Gupta.
