Salman and Bhansali once shared a great camaraderie. Sadly they parted ways. The story behind the bitter end to their closeness was that Salman, who was known to be Sanjay's main man, felt betrayed when Devdas was offered to his then arch rival, Shah Rukh Khan. The two were last seen together in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam many years ago.
It's been 10 long years since then. However, lately, both the actor and director have met many times regarding their project, sources close to the actor revealed.

Salman seems to have been roped in for yet another epic love story by Bansal.
This new love story will be shot after the completion of Padmavati, which stars Shahid Kapoor, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, the sources added.
