TMC to begin poll campaign after puja

After the Pujas, Trinamul Congress (TMC) will begin its poll campaign for 2016 Assembly poll.

TMC secretary general Partha Chatterjee on Wednesday said that after the Pujas all leaders would be busy for campaigning for the next year poll.

It is learnt that the party chairperson Mamata Banerjee has instructed all her party leaders that they should organise block level meetings just after the Puja and would campaign about the different development works that the Trinamul government for past four years.

Banerjee instructs party leaders to stop factional feud and work unitedly for fighting the coming Assembly poll. With obvious references to the ensuing civic poll slated to be held on 3 October, she warned her party senior leaders not to indulge in factionalism.

"We have no time to waste.Those whose elections were over, should not sit idle thinking that their elections are due again after five years. You have to work together, '' she instructed. She recently held meeting with two MLAs of Salt Lake, Rajathat Newtown Rs Sujit Bose and Sabyasachi Dutta and ask them to bury their differences and fight unitedly.

She also held meeting with Tapash Chatterjee former CPI-M Rajarhat chairperson and asked him to fight unitedly.

Banerjee also instructed the partymen that they should be ready to fight every inch and should be prepared to defeat the "hotch-potch'' alliance of CPI-M-BJP and the Congress.

She said that the Oppositions have no ideology,they thrive on smear and malicious campaign.
