Chanditala, 7 February: A teacher was arrested today on the charge of contaminating the Saraswati Puja prasad that made nearly fifty students of a primary school fall ill on Thursday afternoon.
Students of Sati Rani Primary School in Krishnarampur Paschimpara,  Chanditala started vomiting soon after consuming the Puja prasad.
Sanjit Koley, the assistant teacher of the school, was arrested by police based on the complaint lodged by the headmaster of the institution,  Himadri Prasad.
The headmaster said he sensed dirty politics behind the incident.     Mr Koley was today produced in the court and was remanded in jail custody.  The two teachers who were thrashed by parents have also lodged a complaint with the police.     sns
