Gangtok, 7 February
Reiterating that electoral  tie-ups among several regional parties of Sikkim are possible for the forthcoming Assembly and general elections, the state BJP in-charge, Dineshanand Goswami today said his party might reap good harvests if such pre-poll alliances are firmed up. He said this after meeting  the party’s  north Bengal and northeast organisation secretary, Panchanand Rout where  the party’s strategy for upcoming polls was broached. State BJP president, Padam Chettri and Yuva Morcha president, Shanti Sharma were also present during the   interaction.
“BJP prime ministerial candidate, Narendra Modi having assured top priority for north-east in terms
of all-round development would definitely go a long way in sinking our roots deeper in the region. Sikkim being part of the northeast would figure prominently in our scheme of things," he said.
"A mass contact campaign christened as  “Ek Note Kamal par Vote”  would be launched seeking support from the people from 11 February across the country and Sikkim is one of the states we stress on," he said.
Besides the state BJP will organise a seminar on tea along with the rest of the country where NaMo tea stalls would be given prominence. "Such seminars would be held in all the four districts of the state," the BJP leader added.
