The family members of the rape victim and villagers of Kamduni today met the food minister, Mr Jyotipriyo Mallick, at his party office in Madhyamgram and demanded a meeting with Miss Mamata Banerjee again.
Today at round 10 a.am. villagers, including the family members of the murdered girl went to the Madhyamgram party office and told him that they wished to meet the chief minister again. The food minister assured them that he will convey their message to Miss Banerjee.
Mr Nirmal Ghosh, the district Trinamul Congress president, was also present at the party office. He heard  the grievances of the victim’s family members and the villagers. The villagers also requested that they be provided safety.
The uncle of the victim, who runs a shop in the area, where the incident took place, has been receiving threats from unidentified goons. He asked the minister to arrange for his safety. 
The victim’s brother iterated his demand justice for his sister. He demanded death sentence for the accused and speedy justice.
He said: “I want to meet the CM again and inform her that Safikul is not the only accused in this case. I also want to discuss the legal aspects of the case with the the chief minister.”
