Kolkata, 5 January
Kolkata denizens will continue to experience cold weather with a slight dip in the temperatures today as compared to yesterday.
According to the Regional Meteorological Centre, Alipore, the mercury started to dip since 1 January this year and consequent chill has followed since then.
The Met office confirmed that the minimum temperature in the city was 12.4 degrees Celsius today. The sky was clear and will remain so for the next few days.
“It is the clear weather that has paved the way for the chill but there will be a gradual rise in the temperature from today,” said a met official.
The chill, however, will persist despite a gradual rise in the temperatures. Tomorrow, however, the evening may be cloudy.
