Suspected KLO men arrested: Two suspected KLO linkmen were arrested from Kharibari on Thursday, informed Darjeeling police superintendent, Mr Kumal Agarwal. According to police sources, they have been identified as Bijay Singha and Anil Singha.
Two Bangladeshis held: Pradhannagar police arrested two suspected Bangladeshi nationals from Salbari area on Thursday. Police said they were not carrying passports.
Tension in college: Tension prevailed in the Siliguri College of Commerce on Thursday evening after a third year student was allegedly slapped by the teachers during the examination. Police rushed to the spot.
Ration shop sealed: The Siliguri administration sealed a ration shop at Patriramjote after it found lack of required stock of rice and wheat. The shop was owned by one Dhiren Saha. The case will be handed over to the food and supplies department.
